EMBO Workshop, Course and Conference Organization Grants

The European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO), coordinated in Türkiye by TÜBİTAK,
offers workshop, course and conference organization grants for researchers working in the life sciences.
These programs support international collaboration, scientific networking and financial assistance for academic events.

Workshop Organization Grants
Supports workshops that promote the exchange of up-to-date scientific knowledge in the life sciences.
Up to €42,500 funding is available per workshop.
Events may be organized in face-to-face, online or hybrid formats.

Practical Course Organization Grants
Aims to provide training in experimental techniques and dissemination of new methodologies.
Up to €42,500 funding is available per course.
Courses are primarily organized in face-to-face format; hybrid formats require prior approval.

EMBO–FEBS Conference Organization Grants
Supports conferences focused on education and career development in biochemistry and molecular biology.
Up to €30,000 funding is available per conference.
📅 Application Schedule
- Workshops and Courses: Applications accepted twice a year – 1 March and 1 July
- EMBO–FEBS Conferences: Applications accepted annually – 1 March
- Applications must be submitted directly through the relevant online application systems.
👤 Who Can Apply?
Academic staff and researchers planning to organize scientific events in EMBC member or associate countries
and working in life sciences, biochemistry and molecular biology fields are eligible to apply.
